Tim Nakamura
President
Tim retired from Sport Chek as Delivery Manager of Digital eCommerce in 2021. His parents involvement at the seniors centre drew Tim to Kotobuki. He brought his father back to Kotobuki after a several years of absence. Tim joined Kotobuki in 2025 and has been president since February 2026.
Hisako Sato
Vice President
Hisako became a member of Kotobuki in 2023 and became vice-president in 2025. Hisako is a violinist and a member of Kitchen Quartet. The quartet practices at her home and they perform at special event days at Kotobuki. .
Becky Nakamura
Treasurer
Becky (no relation to Tim) joined Kotobuki in 2019 and has been Treasurer since 2021. She is currently a Reiki Master Practitioner at Waves of Ki. Becky is retired from being a senior financial accountant.
Julie Kamitakahara
Assistant Treasurer
Julie joined Kotobuki in 2009. She assists Becky by processing, verifying, and paying for invoices and receipts. She also manages petty cash.
Harriet Sakon
Secretary
Harriet has been attending Kotobuki with her mom. She joined as a member in 2022. Harriet has retired from WestJet as a customer service agent and still loves to travel.
Barb Saga
Assistant Secretary
Barb joined Kotobuki in 2024. She is also delivery driver for Meals on Wheels.
